Contract Details: URS Federal Services, Inc., Norfolk, Va. is being awarded an estimated $27,700,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee with firm-fixed price provisions, performance-based contract to provide command, control, communications, collaboration, computers and intelligence (C5I) and nuclear command, control and communication (NC3) submarine support services. Services include test evaluation and certification, system/equipment analysis and assessment, equipment modernization coordination and oversight, testing and certification, technical assistance, equipment maintenance, repair/overhaul support, information awareness, provisioning and program support for SSN 774 Class Non-Propulsion Electronics Systems and SSN 21, SSN 688/I, SSBN 726 and SSGN Class Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems and submarine operating authority shore facilities. This contract includes one option period, which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of the contract to an estimated $56,300,000. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va. (57 percent); Groton, Conn. (36 percent); and Honolulu, Hawaii (7 percent). Work is expected to be completed by April 2013. If the option is exercised, work could continue until April 2014. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured by full and open competition via the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center e-Commerce Central website and the Federal Business Opportunities website, with one offer received. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity (N65236-12-D-4806).
