Contract Details: Honeywell, Minneapolis, Minn., is being awarded a $9,343,572 modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (HR0011-08-C-0019, Phase 4 option exercise). The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is funding Honeywell to design, develop, and deliver a demonstration of a gyroscope with a goal capability of absolute reference navigation in a compact, four-diameter optically integrated gyro-head. Work will be performed in Minneapolis, Minn. (53 percent); Glendale, Ariz. (35.5 percent); Pasadena, Calif. (8 percent); King of Prussia, Pa. (2.5 percent); and Somerset, N.J. (1 percent). Work is expected to be completed by Aug. 5, 2013. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is the contracting activity.
